I'm going crazy with this house stuff. Check out the newest pictures at the link in my last post. Our offer on Hollyberry was not accepted in favor of another. I'm curious as to know what their offer was and I know the realtor wants to know too and will find out for us when it closes. We put in another offer today on Hillwood and now we're unsure. I'd be perfectly happy with the smaller, cheaper house on Blackburn. I think the beautiful kitchen and huge finished basement on Hillwood knocked out any sense we had. We certainly could do the payments at either place and they both still have their little issues. Hillwood just happens to have a very tiny bathroom and a roof that makes us unsure. But it also has a whole lot of potential, space for a second bathroom in the basement, etc. Either one is move in ready, just depends on what you want to do down the line and how soon you want to do it. I love the sunroom at Blackburn and it could be so cute. Plus it has a much better backyard. The overall square footage is lower, the rooms and closets are smaller, but its in a cute way. It has everything we want. But so does Hillwood, just more space and a higher price. We probably should have taken a night to think about it, which we'd already done on Blackburn, which was why we were going to offer after looking at the two today to make sure. I think after having our offer beat out by an earlier one on Hollyberry, we jumped the gun on this one so as not to have that issue again.

A deer ran into the side of my car yesterday. On the way to work. In town. Ran into the side of the car. It hit me. Yeah. But hey, we already have an appointment with the body shop for next week for the damage to the other side of the car. Oh, and to top it off, the windshield started cracking tonight. There was a little bubble near the center from a rock that flew up a few weeks back. Well, I think Mr. Deer landing on the windshield weakened it a bit and then with the cold tonight, bam, crack.

We are house hunting! Ben and I along with Erin and Lin went with our new realtor to see two houses tonight. House #1 is in Anderson County, closer to Lawrenceburg than to Frankfort. It was well cared for by its owners of (almost) 32 years. House #2 is a foreclosure that is being flipped and was never lived in by the current owner. Cosmetic work has been done on parts of the house, but no updates to roof, windows, etc and no knowing how old any of those features are. Sunday we are to look at 5 more that we picked out. The two today were realtor suggestions, though you could tell she preferred the first. Two of the houses planned for the weekend are within sight of Lin and Erin's house.
Other recent grown-up tasks have included dealing with a car insurance company, planning Girl Scout meetings, and trying new recipes (I <3 Rachael Ray!).

Hey! I have an idea! Let's take someone who knows nothing about the department and have them answer all of the incoming phone calls even though anyone else in the department would be able to offer better answers!!

We have our own apartment! Went this morning to sign the lease and pay the deposit/first month's rent. And this weekend is the HUGE 127 yard sale (600 miles from N. KY to Alabama) so we're trying to find some furniture. Borrowing soopageek's parents' van so we can move furniture as we find it. And then we're gonna have to figure out how to move furniture down from PA...

I think my kidney hurts.
I went down to my grandparents' tonight. Addressed envelopes for dad's "surprise" (not really) 50th bday party. Ate pie. Played Rummikub. We have that too, so Ben will have to play sometime. Number game instead of our usual word games :-p
